Festivals and Places of Attraction
Festivals and Traditions The main festival of the village is the Hmong New Year, which takes place annually in December. The celebration is held on an open-air stage and on the sports field. Among the activities are throwing "Luk Chuang", playing spinning tops, parades, children's shows, folk sports and tribal shows.
In winter you can experience the Fog Sea in the morning, a wide variety of winter flowers, then caves, waterfalls and icy dew, and the making of the Hmong knitted textiles and other local handicraft products.
Places of Attraction Doi Waew is a high hill or mountain with abundance of wild animals. It is also an ideal place for bird watchers. Walking trails for nature and cultural study tours are available, too.
