Festivals and Traditional Rituals :
The Hmong New Year (No Pe Chao) is a festive entertainment of the village to celebrate the New Year event. It is carried out around the end of December every year. The festival takes place in front of the Children Development Center in the village. There are play grounds, singing and shows of the children. Musical entertainment, dances, shows and traditional sport activities of village members can be participated.
The tradition of New Rice Feast. This traditional New Rice Feast is set up during the month of January. Every household growing rice has to join this festival. Unhusked rice grains are brought directly from rice fields to be roasted and browned, or they are to be hulled, and then cooked. All family members bring then the cooked rice and other foods to the church (or Temple). After praying and religious ceremonies, they all have a banquet / a feast together.
Traditional Handicrafts The richly embroidered clothes and clothes with a wide variety of designs and types of needlework of the Hmong are highly recommended. They can be used for jackets, skirts, pants, bags, or other household items.
