Ban Pha Nok Kok-3

Places of Attractions: In the Demonstration Center for Weaving Arts, all steps of making Hmong clothes (Pha Yai Kan Chong) are shown and demonstrated by Mrs. Lasa, 83 years old. A walking path, surrounded by beautiful scenery and cool wind, will bring you from the village to the highest point at the altitude of 1,500 meters above sea level.
In the Tribal Cultural Center, you can have enjoy activities, like musical shows (reed organs), tribal dances, sword dances, riding a sliding/ rolling cart. Or you can walk along and participate in village's daily life activities. Or walk 3 kilometers to the Nok Kok Cliff, 3 Km. Or take part in a hike on the 9 Km. long route Pha Nok Kok-Doi Pui. Or you visit vegetables, flower (gerbera) gardens, or lychee plantations.
Accommodation : Highland Community Economy Promotion Project has a guesthouse in the village for 10 persons. One person pays 100 Baht per night. From 5 up to 10 persons pay a flat rate of 900 Baht per night. 10 tents can be rented at the price of 150 Baht per night for 2 persons. There are 2 trekking routes, as mentioned.
How to get there : Take the bus or mini bus route Chiang Mai-Mae Rim, then in Mae Rim, take another mini-bus route Mae Rim-Samoeng. On this highway, the Community of Pong Yaeng, you get off the mini-bus and walk for a while to the village. With a private car, you follow the route via Mar Rim in the direction to Samoeng. Then, in the Community of Pong Yaeng, you turn to the left to the village. All together, it lies about 25 Km. from the city of Chiang Mai.
